A seating factory in the chair town of China
Anji Chaoya Furniture has been building office and contract seating in Anji, Zhejiang since December 1996. Mid-size, single-site, and built around the people who run the line.
Anji makes chairs the way other towns make shoes or ceramics. The mesh suppliers, the foam cutters, the gas-lift and base makers all sit within a short drive, which is the quiet reason a factory here can quote sharply and turn a sample around fast. We have been part of that for nearly thirty years.
The numbers, plainly: a 45,000 m² site with about 36,000 m² of plant, and 600-odd people. That puts us in the middle — bigger than a workshop, smaller than the listed giants down the road. We think that's the right size for the kind of buyer we serve: importers and contract dealers who want a real person to answer for the order, not a ticket number.
We started in office chairs and stayed close to seating instead of chasing every furniture category. Today the range covers executive, mesh task, guest, visitor, stacking, nesting, dining, folding and big-and-tall chairs. Keeping to seating means our tooling, our testing and our packing are all pointed at the same problem.
